We are so glad you have taken an interest in joining our worship ministry here at Faith Chapel!

We believe that worship is much more than coming together to sing a song on Sunday. Worship is a lifestyle (Romans 12:1, Matthew 15:8). Worship is not what happens on the stage, but rather a heart posture that every area of our life flows from. Whether in a corporate or private setting, the position of our hearts in relation to God and those around us (Matthew 5:3-26) is the most important part of worship ministry. We also believe in giving God our best in excellence, whether that be in sacrifice or offering. We are looking to build our team as a family that grows and raises up disciples of God. This application process may take place over 2-4 weeks and includes three steps: application, interview, and audition.

    Once we have received your completed application form, you will hear from us within the next two-four weeks in which we may proceed to set up an interview (via phone or in person). 

    The interview is a way for us to get to know you more!

    The audition is not meant to intimidate anyone. We want you to be free to be the real you! Part of acceptance to the worship team will be based on your musical giftings and abilities. However, we are not looking for perfection (so don’t stress)!

    It is also important to note that one may be a talented musician, but that does not guarantee acceptance. We care about your relationship with God and your heart first, abilities come second.

    After the Audition, you can expect to hear from a team member within a week!

    All new members are carefully considered through prayer, monitoring of character and devotion to God, and sometimes meetings with the lead pastors. If, for any reason, we feel that a new member is not a good fit, we reserve the right to graciously dismiss them. This does not bar them from joining the team ever again but gives time and room for growth in the process of finding the right place to serve. 

  • We ask that you prepare two songs from our list for your audition with the team; one praise and one worshipful. You may not use both songs, but please have them prepared.

    Please let us know in advance what songs you choose and in which key. We will invite you to join us at one of our rehearsals as part of your audition. It would be good for you to know that we use a “click” or metronome during every service and practice. If you are not familiar with playing with one, we would suggest that you start practicing now!

  • Faith Chapel’s worship team is designed to be a safe place for creatives to learn, grow, and walk in full confidence of what God has called each one to. We understand that everyone is on their own individual walk with the Lord and that people can be messy! We’re not about behavior management. We are here for heart transformation that becomes contagious. We pray that you are blessed and encouraged in this whole process! Please take additional time to pray and seek God’s heart regarding this commitment as it is much more than a volunteer position. We will be praying for you as well in the coming weeks and cannot wait to hear more from you!
